Ruth Jones

Ms. Ruth Jones began her formal ballet training at the age of 9 at Ballet Lubbock under the direction of Yvonne Racz. While a student at Ballet Lubbock, she performed in two Nutcracker Ballets and was cast as young Snow White. In 2020, Ms. Ruth Joined Christ in the Arts and became a dancer in their Company in the fall of 2025. Throughout her career she has attended summer intensives at the Dallas Conservatory under the direction of Jacqueline Porter, Joffrey Ballet School Kansas City, Ballet Magnificat in Jackson, Mississippi, Ballet Lubbock and Christ in the Arts. From the age of 3, Ms. Ruth had early dance training in Jazz, contemporary, ballet, and tap.

As a member of Christ in the Arts, Ms. Ruth has enjoyed witnessing and becoming a part of the strong community represented by CITA. She notes that CITA is full of strong Christians and wonderful artists who truly bring God’s beauty to life. Most importantly, Ms. Ruth loves glorifying God through her dance and sharing that joy with the audience.

As she has grown as a young dancer over the years, her strength can be found in Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” The enduring message of these words has helped Ms. Ruth maintain strength and courage in all challenges, assuring her of God’s support in all circumstances.

Off the Marley floor, Ms. Ruth enjoys riding and competing on her horses, helping on her family ranch, and playing the piano. She is also quite fond of drawing and painting watercolor canvases.

Ms. Ruth is a Teacher’s Assistant for Arabesque and Intermediate Contemporary.
