Kristi Elder

Kristi began dancing in 2014 when she was four years old and now dances as a company artist. She is grateful for the opportunity to have been mentored and impacted by incredible dancers who share their love for God with others. Kristi is dedicated to honoring her teachers by continuing their mission of impacting the students she encounters and encouraging them to do all things with a heart aligned toward God.

Ever since she was a little girl, Kristi has known she wanted to be a choreographer. Watching her aunt, Lara Hinds, take a vision in her mind and transform it into an entire production that showcases the glory of God inspired Kristi to pursue that same calling. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to play a part in bringing those productions to life as a choreography assistant for the upcoming performances.

Aside from her instruction at Christ in the Arts, she has attended the Arrows International Winter Intensive and the Ballet Magnificat! Summer Intensive in 2023 and 2025, as well as trained under Lysion Viera, Meredith Viera, Jiri Voborsky, and Courtne Robinson. Kristi is amazed at how all of these opportunities have led her to the place she is today.

When not in the studio or dancing in the kitchen, you can find Kristi reading, training for Spartan races, babysitting, or playing with her adorable great pyrenees, Appa, or her cat, Mochi.

Kristi teaches beginner and intermediate ballet (Bourrée, Chassé, and Pirouette), and assists with beginner pointe (Fouetté).

Kristi has many favorite verses, but one that she holds especially dear is Psalm 5:11. This verse encourages Kristi to remember that there is always a reason to rejoice because of the constant provision the Lord provides when we take refuge in His everlasting love.

"But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name be filled with joy."
