Garrett Elder
Garrett J. Elder, born in June 2007, is a dancer with a passion for sharing meaningful stories through the art of movement. He began his formal training in ballet in 2014 and has since expanded his studies to include contemporary dance and partnering, continually developing his versatility and artistic voice.
Garrett’s personal mission is to share the light of Christ through his craft and lived experiences. His performance background includes serving as a company member with Christ in the Arts School of Dramatic Dance, performing in three full-length Ballet Magnificat! ballets, and appearing as a guest artist in two Ballet Lubbock productions.
Most recently, Garrett was accepted into the professional trainee program at Ballet Magnificat!, where he will continue his training as a member of the Events Company.
In addition to his performance career, Garrett is passionate about teaching and mentorship. He has served as an instructor at Christ in the Arts, teaching a wide range of dance styles in which he has received extensive training. He also served as a mentor and instructor for Transformation Ballet’s Men’s Program in Guatemala, helping develop, encourage, and invest in the next generation of male dancers. He looks forward to continuing to teach, mentor, and inspire young artists for years to come.
Garrett hopes to pass on the joy and peace he experiences through dance to those around him.
Philippians 4:4-7 NLT
[4] Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! [5] Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. [6] Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. [7] Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus
