Amelia Burch

The world labeled Amelia “orphan,” but God labeled her “daughter.”  After being adopted into her family at two years old, Amelia started dancing with Christ in the Arts when the Hinds sisters began teaching after-school ballet classes at her preschool.  By the time she turned seven, she knew ballet was her heart language—good for her body and vital to her soul!  Her dream of becoming a CITA company member became a reality when she was asked to join them in 2020.  Amelia has enjoyed growing through Ballet Magnificat’s Summer Dance Intensive in Jackson, MS, and many CITA Summer Workshops.  She enjoys reading, listening to music, and traveling when she is not in the studio.  Amelia is excited to begin her teaching journey and hopes to reach out to the shy girls whose hearts want to dance and help them step out of the shadows of their shyness to express the joy they feel in their hearts—something she still works on herself.  Amelia is proof that a girl can find her voice by finding her dancing feet and that God’s labels are the only ones that matter.

Amelia is the instructor for Releve, Chasse, and Arabesque and the TA for advanced contemporary
